The study of uniforms in the new Spencer Badu collection

In the age of social distancing and lockdowns, Spender Badu chose a live show on Instagram to present his new SS21 collection. 

Even in this new season, Badu continues his study in uniforms, taking inspiration from brands such as Carhartt and Dickies to create a series of wardrobe staples able to create an alternative to seasonal trends. The volumes then played a fundamental role in the genesis of the collection, drawing inspiration from the silhouettes of hip-hop music of the early 2000s to create trousers and jackets that replicated that style. A musical inspiration made even more evident by the choice to create a series of graphics featuring famous faces such as Janet Jackson and jackets with influences from the techno world.
