As the health emergency continues to affect communities around the world, young people are preparing for a unique and unprecedented return to school. Whether remote or on-site, every student has the right to start the school year in the best way, feeling ready to face this new challenge in the best possible way.

Foot Locker is well aware of this and has decided to donate $1.5 million sneakers to the communities of young people most affected by the pandemic.

“Going back to school this year will be completely different from any experience they have ever had before and will be different depending on their geographic location,” said Richard Johnson, President and CEO of Foot Locker, Inc. "Our goal is to provide a new pair of shoes to the greatest number of students so that they can start the new school year in the best way possible."

To do this, Foot Locker has relied on Soles4Souls, anchor partner of the program that will deliver the Foot Locker donation to more than 19,000 children in seven countries including the United States, France, England, Australia and New Zealand. It also decided to launch a further initiative called Collaboraid to help communities with a series of exclusive collaborations between brands and designers. Among the first names to join the initiative we also find A$AP Ferg, Chinatown Market, Jason Woodside x Vans and Daily Paper x Crocs.

Customers can contribute to the cause by purchasing Collaboraid products and joining Foot Locker's FLX loyalty program by redeeming points to help young people in need.
