EDWIN's FW20 collection lookbook

Inspired by Hokusai, martial arts and Japanese theater

EDWIN's FW20 collection lookbook Inspired by Hokusai, martial arts and Japanese theater

EDWIN, the Japanese brand that made the history of denim and invented the stone wash technique, is back with the new AW20 collection. Seen through the lens of Parisian fashion editor and stylist Laetitia Giminez and shot for this romantic lookbook by photographer Ghislain Mirat, the collection continues the journey of the brand through Japanese culture, but this time ventures into unexplored territories: alongside the more traditional denim garments, the brand confirms its youthful spirit and welcomes unexpected inspirations, stylized finishes and new materials such as flannel and corduroy.

In general, the whole collection is dominated by an oversize trend, in full line with the trend of the next Autumn/Winter 2020 season. As per tradition, the great protagonist is denim: the classic silhouettes of the brand, which have always been inspired by workwear aesthetic, are reinvented here in new shapes, including the oversized Valter shirt in Arctic Blue denim and several new jackets and trousers. Among the new proposals, the collection debuts some t-shirts inspired once again by the Japanese style, characterized by a tie-dye wash also present on several other items inspired by sportswear. Not only that, among the new prints EDWIN pays tribute to the famous Japanese painter Hokusai with the Noh Mask t-shirt and some shirts depicting traditional Japanese theatre masks. Finally, the collection is enriched with a  military design that refers to the Japanese martial art and ninja style.

EDWIN's AW20 collection is available in the brand's official stores in London, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Osaka, as well as selected retailers around the world and online
