The lookbook of the Carhartt WIP FW20 collection The aesthetic of functionality

Carhartt WIP unveiled the lookbook of the Fall/Winter 2020 collection.
The new collection incorporates some archive pieces and the classic themes of Carhartt WIP, but moves towards the world of workwear, practicality and functionality. The traditional aesthetic of the brand thus finds a new setting, reinterpreting the shapes and motifs typical of hunting clothing, especially camouflage. Not only that: mixing the canvas elements that have always characterized the brand with more functional details, the collection consists of futuristic-cut garments in which workwear takes on a new, contemporary, more fluid configuration.

The most innovative aspect undoubtedly concerns camouflage: a print that incorporates foliage and digital camouflage, in contrast to fluorescent orange, light nylon elements and reversible fleece. In some cases, however, the design is focused on the historical elements of the brand, reinterpreting them through the overlapping of fabrics and highlighting the triple seals, as in the case of the classic Bib Overall that appears in a new stretch twill; others, such as the Double Knee Pant in aged canvas, use laser technology to create garments that are experienced.
Wool and corduroy stand out among the fabrics, which add a soft and warm touch in contrast with the static elegance of technical fabrics, but above all the collection sees the return to the use of the GORE-TEX INFINIUM technology, which gives life to breathable garments and accessories that are resistant to water and wind. Finally, some reworkings of the classic Carhartt WIP jersey are also part of the collection, characterized by patterns and blocks of color from the 90s.

The Carhartt WIP F/W 2020 collection is available in WIP Carhartt stores, on the official website and from international retailers starting from August 3rd, 2020.
