A few days after the presentation of the Fall 2020-2021 Couture collection, which debuted within the Cinecittà studios with a tableau vivant made of light and poetry created in collaboration with the artist Nick Knight (the first show with which the Maison did not take part in the Paris Fashion Week calendar), Valentino has unveiled the official images of its latest advertising campaign: #Valentinoempathy, the new Autumn/Winter 2021 campaign. 

In such a particular moment, still deeply marked by the consequences of the pandemic, the creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli imagined a new, different campaign: a collection of portraits made by the same protagonists and their families, shot during the lockdown by people near the protagonists and in the same places where the artists experienced their period of isolation. For this exclusive project, Piccioli involved an exceptional cast of friends of the Maison, including top models Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Mariacarla Boscono, actresses Frances McDormand, Laura Dern, Rossy De Palma and Gwyneth Paltrow, celebrities and influencers such as Laetitia Casta, Liu Wen and Anwar Hadid, Italian stars such as Ghali and internationally renowned personalities such as Rula Jebreal. An exclusive parterre that interprets the collections under the sign of empathy: an emotion, a feeling that not even social distancing will ever defeat. 

 

The #ValentinoMenFW20 and #ValentinoFW20 collections also reveal the first images of the new Valentino Garavani Atelier bag: the Valentino Garavani 03 Rose Edition Atelier, an example of the Maison's perfect craftsmanship. A model entirely covered with 90 hand-cut leather petals; five different sizes used to give dimension and movement to the embroidery, with each petal-shaped by hand and then assembled one by one to form a fascinating three-dimensional rose. 

As announced by the fashion house, in addition to an advertising campaign it is also a charity program. In fact, Valentino will donate € 1 million to the Hospital Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome, the Italian hub for the fight against COVID-19. Since the health emergency is going on beyond expectations, Valentino is thus committed to being present also for the future, making sure that the centre dedicated to COVID-19 can continue to use effectively and this reference point.
