The new Converse Twisted Resort collection Unveiled with a campaign inspired by the desert aesthetics of festivals and Area 51

Converse's Run Star Hike first brought to the catwalk by JW Anderson, proved to be one of the most successful sneakers for the brand – which made it the protagonist of its most recent pack: the Twisted Resort collection.

On the occasion of the release of this pack, the Run Star Hike and the Chuck 70, both in the high-top and low-top versions, are coloured by the aesthetics of the American desert, made up of alien encounters, music festivals and lysergic experiences. The stop-motion artist Stefano Colferai has created a campaign for the release that playfully celebrates the world of pack-inspired references, with aliens and flying saucers among Nevada cacti and rocks.

For the new version of the Run Star Hike, a canvas upper was created derived from the Chuck 70 and remixed with the new Converse Run Star sole. The sneaker's chunky EVA midcap finished with a rubber heel lining, the Star badge and a saw-tooth mudguard, actually creates a three-part shoe (upper, midsole, sole) that gives comfort and visibility to each look. The two versions of the Chuck 70 were built on the basis of the original design of the 1970s and decorated with the desert motifs that distinguish the collection. In addition, to complete the pack design, the chakra diagram in vibrant colours is visible on the tongue of each silhouette.

The Converse Twisted Resort collection will be available starting tomorrow, July 9th, with prices ranging from 95 to 120 euros on Converse.com and at selected retailers such as Antonia, Antonioli, LuisaViaRoma, Spectrum, Suede and Yoox
