The new Louis Vuitton's sneaker trunks for collectors

The Maison dedicates two special orders to sneakerheads to preserve their most precious models

The new Louis Vuitton's sneaker trunks for collectors The Maison dedicates two special orders to sneakerheads to preserve their most precious models

That of Louis Vuitton is an all-round luxury experience that, starting from the production of suitcases and accessories over a hundred years ago, today also extends to streetwear and sneaker culture. Season after season, and especially after the entry of a cult designer like Virgil Abloh, the brand has also become a reference point for streetwear and sneaker culture – both categories reinterpreted according to the modern luxury concept of the fashion house. The brand's offer for sneakerheads, however, goes beyond just footwear. In keeping with the history and tradition of the fashion house, Louis Vuitton has also created special trunks to preserve and organize sneakers and products dedicated to their care: the Louis Vuitton Sneaker Trunk and Sneaker Box, inspired by the shoe trunks that since its inception the maison has created for noblewomen and Hollywood divas.

The Sneaker Trunk has a metal core and cow leather trim. Inside, behind two transparent doors decorated with the contrasting white Monogram pattern, there are eight drawers for high-top sneakers and six for low-tops. In addition, there are seven other drawers designed to hold all the products for the care of sneakers and a support plan to store small objects and accessories. Finally, two retractable mirrors allow you to admire the shoes when they are worn. The Sneaker Box, on the other hand, designed for individual pairs of sneakers, is made of monogrammed black leather, with rivets and metal buckles and a transparent door decorated with the Eclipse motif. Behind the footwear are two spaces that can accommodate accessories and footwear products.

Many of the fashion house's sneaker models have become cult items for collectors as well. Among the most famous are the Run Away Pulse, inspired by hiking shoes and with a two-tone sole with a wave design; the LV Trail, which combines suede calf skin and a lightweight mesh fabric with a technical sole; the Fastlane model with her gritty look; the V.N.R., characterized by mesh with metallic finishes tone on tone. Also highly appreciated is the LV Trainer sneaker, decorated with the LV signature in italics printed on the side, and bears the number "408", a reference to August 4, the date of birth of the founder of the House. All made in the Manufacture de Souliers Louis Vuitton, the atelier of Fiesso d'Arctic, on the Brenta Riviera, for centuries the center of excellence of the luxury footwear manufacturer.

Both Louis Vuitton sneakers and the Sneaker Trunk and Sneaker Box are available on demand online and in the fashion house's boutiques.
