The new Sebago x Baracuta capsule collection

When the young scions of the 1950s left their suits to wear the bombers of the aviators returned from the war, the Harrington Jacket made its appearance on many of the campuses that constituted the famous American Ivy League. It was a revolutionary item, the symbol of the preppy style, loved by legendary personalities such as James Dean, Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen and Joe Strummer. From Harvard to London ska concerts, from Brit Pop to the 2000s, the Harrington jacket has dressed half a century of Western culture without ever losing its charm and now inspires the two outerwear pieces of the Sebago x Baracuta capsule collection presented last June at Pitti Immagine Uomo. 

The main pieces of the collection are the Combo Jacket and the Skipper Jacket, which, respectively available in blue-navy, green, red and blue colours, are characterized by the logos of the two brands in gold lettering printed on the inner lining. Other protagonists of the collaboration are the Sebago Dan Baracuta and Sebago Portland Baracuta shoes. The first model is a mule with a leather top unfurled in black or Burgundy colours decorated with a red leather insole and a Fraser Tartan insert inside the mask. The second model, a suede boat shoe, features a hand-sewn upper with a leather sole, a 360-degree leather lacing system and a non-marking sole made of non-slip smeared rubber. The Sebago Portland is available in red, green and blue, the typical colours of the Fraser Tartan Baracuta.
