Jordan x The Attico

Streetwear and luxury meet in the sign of Milan

Jordan x The Attico Streetwear and luxury meet in the sign of Milan

If it's true that there are no more clear boundaries between streetwear and luxury, Jordan Brand's latest project is bound to re-write the rules of an industry that has never been this fluid and rich of different influences.

On the occasion of the release of the Air Jordan 1 inspired by Milan, Jordan Brand meets a brand that of the city and of its refined aesthetic has always been a great representative.
With The AtticoGilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini managed to give life to a recognizable and identifiable imaginary since their first collection, a unique blending of vintage-inspired elements and creations designed with the desire to dress bold, confident, sophisticated and sensual women. Gilda and Giorgia are the symbols of new, contemporary femininity, in charge of its own narration and representation, free from stereotypes and rules. Freedom, creativity and uniqueness are the features the make the designer duo the perfect embodiment of the Jordan Women ideal woman.

The Air Jordan 1 Milan highlights the increasing importance of the city within the sneaker game. Through high-quality materials and panels, like leather and suede, the silhouette pays homage to the architecture and the design of the city, especially the details of the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.

To seal this union, next February 19th Jordan Women will host a special workshop led by Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini at the Museo del Novecento where the participants will have the chance to create their own unique accessories using recycled materials. An upcycling lab that will be enriched by the precious styling tips by Gilda and Giorgia. (Here you can register for the workshop).

The encounter between Jordan and The Attico could be an important signal of the relevance that Italian taste and aesthetic keep exercising on such a global brand like Nike and more generally on the global street scene. It would be moreover the second time that an Italian designer joined forces with the sportswear giant, after the now-iconic collection by Riccardo Tisci. It's emblematic that Jordan has chosen two women as the symbol of the evolution of a long male-dominated industry, picking two personalities who have made their femininity and creative strength two essential elements of their success.
