The best and worst dressed at the 2020 Grammy Awards From Billie Eilish in custom Gucci to Dua Lipa in a 90s minimalist look

Tonight is for Kobe.

Lizzo was moved saying this before singing live a medley of hits from her album Cuz I Love You, dedicating the Grammy Awards 2020 to Kobe Bryant, who died a few hours earlier together with his daughter Gianna in a plane crash. The edition of the event held last night live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles is a tribute to the basketball star, but also a celebration of the best artists of the year, from Tyler, The Creator who wins in the Rap Album category with his IGOR to Beyoncè who with Homecoming wins as Best Music Film, from Old Town Road's triumph as Best Music Video to Billie Eilish who, in a Gucci custom green and black look a ninja turtle, is the youngest Best New Artist. She also received awards for Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Bad Guy.

The attention was not only captured by on stage performances such as Alicia Keys, host of the evening, who sings with the Boyz II Men their It's So Hard To Say Goodbye to Yesterday or Rosalía who performs a medley between Juro Que and Malamente, but there was also fashion. Dua Lipa was the best dressed of these Grammys. The star, who arrived together with her boyfriend Anwar Hadid, opted for a '90s style: minimal white satin dress by Alexander Wang combined with heavenly eyeshadow, eyeliner, nude lipstick, checkered nails by Mei Kawajiri and messy cropped hair. Lizzo, on the other hand, took inspiration from Hollywood's Golden Age divas, wearing a white Atelier Versace dress flaunted on the red carpet and then a beautiful black and fluffy Christian Siriano custom dress. Other classic styles include the double grey outfit (Giambattista Valli and Schiaparelli) by Ariana Grande, as well as the choice of hairstyle: her iconic ponytail, this time in a platinum blonde version. Rosalía, instead, shows her aggressive side in a red leather creation by Alexander Wang, matched with plenty of flamenco fringes. Her sharp manicure by YvetteG, recalling pieces of broken glass, was a must. Lana del Rey's choice was strange: she walked the red carpet of the Grammy Awards 2020 with a dress bought at the last moment in a department store.

Equally bizarre were the looks worn by Tyler, the Creator in pink livery similar to a Wes Anderson character from the Grand Budapest Hotel; shocking pink in country version also for Lil Nas X in Versace; FKA Twigs in a purple and black hooded dress by Ed Marler that looked like a tribute to Lily Muster; Billy Porter in a Baja East by Scott Studenberg blue suit with a hat featuring metal fringed curtains that opened like a curtain.

The beauty trends loved by the stars were: sharp nails, baby hair, cat eyes, reverse balayage and make-up inspired by the 90s.
