Gucci unveils capsule in collaboration with Disney With a lookbook taken by Harmony Korine

On the occasion of Chinese New Year, according to which 2020 is the year of the mouse, Gucci presented a new capsule collection in collaboration with Disney whose promotional campaign, shot by Harmony Korine, was set at Disneyland. The character of Mickey Mouse had already appeared in Gucci's Spring 2019 and Resort 2020 collections, but this capsule makes him the absolute protagonist, bringing his image on outerwear, sneakers and leather goods. The Gucci x Disney collection is already available at selected Gucci boutiques and on the brand's official website.

In addition to making Mickey Mouse appear in prints, embroidery and jacquard motifs, this collection has recovered one of Gucci's historic patterns of the 1980s, the Mini GG Supreme, using it for footwear and leather goods, which also include suitcases, and a couple of slides. Other accessories include silk scarves, hats and socks as well as jewelry and watches. While in the actual clothing the Disney character is present on shirts, outerwear, t-shirts, sweatshirts and sweaters. The dominant colors of the palette are beige and ivory white with occasional touches of pink and blue.

The Gucci x Disney collection, already available online and at selected Gucci stores, will be available at a series of Gucci thematic pop-ups spread across 28 locations around the world, visible through Gucci's app.
