Magnum Photos takes us to the discovery of Baracuta's history in an exclusive exhibition In Milan from December 13th to 30th

Magnum Photos and Baracuta, two legends united by values such as identity, authenticity and independence, join forces for a special project. The photo agency founded in 1947 by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger and David Seymour will tell the story of the Baracuta G9 Harrington Jacket. The iconic British jacket will be the star of an exclusive installation full of images and videos that celebrate the British way of life, legendary shots like the one of James Dean captured in Times Square under the rain by Dennis Stock in 1955. From Elvis Presley to Steve McQueen, many are the stars who have worn the jacket of the brand, which was born in 1937 with the name of G9, and then became famous as the Harrington jacket after actor Ryan O'Neal wore it in the role of Rodney Harrington in the soap opera Peyton Place.

The exhibition will open on Thursday, December 12, at the WP Pop Up Store in Piazza XXV Aprile in Milan, from 6 pm to 9 pm, and will remain on display through December 30. It will then continue in the WP Area dedicated to Baracuta during the next Pitti Uomo in Florence in January 2020. The installation, in fact, is only the first chapter of a special partnership between Baracuta and Magnum Photos to retrace the history of the brand from its roots as shot by Magnum photographers and will continue with the FW20 Baracuta campaign.
