Louis Vuitton has launched a new series of LV Trainers Inspired by nine cities around the world

Louis Vuitton's LV 408 Trainer first debut during the show for the brand's SS19 collection, which was also Virgil Abloh's debut as Creative Director. Since then, the sneaker has been relaunched each season with a different color scheme and has become one of the key items of Louis Vuitton menswear. The limited edition series launched for this winter is dedicated to nine cities around the world, each combined with a specific color: orange for Chicago, green for Dubai, red for Seoul, pink for Milan, yellow for London, blue for New York, blue for Paris, turquoise for Shanghai and purple for Tokyo.

The shoe features a black leather upper, with additional grey leather panels and suede detailing. At the ankle height is engraved number 408, a quote to the date of birth of the founder Louis Vuitton while the strip at the ankle strap is decorated by the Monogram tag. The tag band is paired with laces, the colors of which vary for each city associated with each shoe, for a total of nine different colors. The LVM branding (with the latest "M" standing for "Mallettier") is present on the tongue while the midsole is decorated with cantilevered details with the shape of the typical flowers of the Louis Vuitton motif, along with the gold signature on the heel.

The new limited-edition series of LV 408 Trainers designed by Virgil Abloh are available at selected boutiques around the world.
