The new GOLF le FLEUR* x Converse “Gianno” sneaker With its most recent collab, Converse changes shape

GOLF le FLEUR *, Tyler the Creator's brand, is one of the most interesting young streetwear brands around. With its aesthetics made of pastel colors, vintage inspirations and soft silhouettes, Golf has found its own niche in the market and has become a perfect counterpart to music-originated streetwear with a contemporary flavor of brands such as Yeezy and Fenty. Since its inception, the brand has collaborated with Converse on more than one occasion but the last of these collabs, the one that led to the creation of GOLF, the FLEUR * x Converse "Gianno", due out today, is perhaps the most showy departure from the classic Chuck 70 and One Star models created so far.

The Gianno is a hybrid between the chunky silhouette of the typical dad shoe and the composite and multilayered aesthetics of the trekking shoe. It comes in three colorways: Ox White, Cuban Sand and Bright Concord. The leather overlays give the upper dynamism and aggressiveness and contrast with the mesh elements, the grid decorations and the reflective stripes. The branding is discreet: on the tongue and on the upper are present only the logos of the two brands without writing, while the name Converse is engraved on the heel. The midsole is double and has two different colors in each colorway. Converse's design director, Matt Sleep, said:

“We worked to craft a design language for Tyler with nods to Converse DNA and heritage. The intent was to create something that felt contemporary and fresh, but maybe not necessarily something that looked outwardly ‘Converse’ at first sight.”.

Together with the "Gianno", Converse will also make available a second collab, inspired by the color palette of the Igor album, named GOLF the FLEUR * x Converse "Chenille" Chuck 70. This additional model has a more classic design more in line with previous collaborations. On the classic upper of Chuck 70, colored in pale pink, is added the branding of Golf in the form of patches in yellow and blue chenille. The Converse branding is present on the inner side of each shoe and, together with Golf's, on the tongue.

The "Gianno" is now available on the Converse official website, from selected retailers and in the Sneakernstuff e-shop. The "Chenille" will be released on December 13th on the Converse website.
