The new Supreme x Nike Air Max 95 Lux Made in Italy A gem of the Nike archive, reissued by Supreme

For its FW19 collection, Supreme New York has collaborated once again with Nike on the release of a cult sneaker directly from the brand's archive: the Nike Air Max 95 Lux.

Like the original model, this collab was also made in Italy with high quality leather. The homage to Italy and the production of the item precisely in Italy might moreover be a subtle suggestion of the upcoming opening of the new Supreme store in Milan.

Compared to the original model of 2001, the new Nike Air Max 95 Lux features the laser-perforated Supreme logo under the eyelets, the classic innersole of the Air in the black version, additional logos on tongue and heel and a tubular decoration that runs on the side and back upper. The laces are the same colour as the shoe and have a metal anklet. The original release of the sneaker, eighteen years ago, was a pioneering choice by Nike that saw an early example of the fusion of sportswear and high-quality materials, streetwear and luxury.

The shoe will return in the three colourways "Black/Black-Black", "Gym Red/Gym Red-Black" and "Hyper Cobalt/Black-Hyper Cobalt" and will also come with the iconic metal tag in the shape of the Italian peninsula that distinguished the original model. It was precisely the metal tag that signalled to those who bought them that they were not the classic sneakers but a hybrid, an evolution in the production process.

The sneaker will be available from Thursday, November 7th in all Supreme stores in New York, L.A., San Francisco, London and Paris as well as in the official online shop.
