Garage Italia presented 'L'Astronave', the first clothing and accessory line produced by the eclectic milan-based custom garage.
A collection that has its roots in the car culture of the Lapo Elkann brand, traditionally close to the motor world, finding a meeting point between workwear and streetwear. The name of the collection - L'Astronave (italian word for 'spaceship') -, refers to the Agip Supercortemaggiore station, built in the 1950s and restored by the architect Michele de Lucchi - that today hosts Garage Italia's workshop, offices and restaurant - whose sinuous, spatial forms resemble those of a spaceship.
The entire collection is created through three key elements: identity, recognition and color, through the massive space dedicated to the brand's logo on the front and the coordinates of the futuristic headquarters of Garage Italia (45.49 3634 09.14 4559) on the t-shirts of the line (those worn by Lapo at the last Grand Prix of Italy). Main feature ot the collection is a genderless garment like the old jumpsuit. Colorful and functional, the Jumpsuit in 100% cotton with contrasting embroidered details on the back.
On the tees we found the popular logo and the sketch of the former service station. In addition to the t-shirts, the line also features the hoodie, with side pockets and the iconic ton-sur-ton ferrule in blue and off-white versions, with the metallic glide logo in the acid-lime colorway. The total look is completed by the beanie hat, strictly oversized with embroidered logo and the baseball cap with contrasting embroidery.
