*UPDATE* The success of the MSCHF x INRI Air Max 97 continued even after the release week, the search engine Lyst, a leader in the fashion processing of data, has caught an exponential increase of global research related to sneaker and religion in the weekend. An unusual combination that has an explanation with the new sneakers customized by MSCHF.

The MSCHF x INRI Air Max 97 has become viral, with a peak of + 1.7M% of reach and + 10.8K% of mention compared to the previous week. Searches for the Brooklyn MSCHF brand have grown by 270% while the "Sneaker Crucifix" queries by 25%.

5% of global research came from Italy, the bulk from Lazio. The countries that have tried the most MSCHF x INRI Air Max 97 online are the United States (38.5%), the Philippines (28.5%) and France (10.1%), with a general prevalence of women (60.6%).

A profane custom of the Nike Air Max 97 the one made by the Brooklyn BASED label MSCHF. The inspiration for this project is that of the miracle of Jesus walking on the water, told in Matthew 14.25, the number that appears also on the tip of the sneaker. The Air unit of the MSCHF x INRI Air Max 97 was in fact filled with the sanctified water of the Jordan River, the sacred place where he would be baptized Jesus.

The idea of walking on the water and the references to the church are completed by the red details on the tongue, red as well as the sole, scented with Frankincense. Red also recalls the color of the clothes and shoes worn by the cardinals in the Vatican. The steel crucifix on the laces is another element that refers to the Vatican, also famous for its jewels. On the box appears the modified papal seal, together with the winged figure of the "Melancholia", engraving of 1514 by the German artist Albrecht Dürer.
