Following last year's success, The North Face and National Geographic are once again joining forces for the good of the environment. The two partners, in fact, have decided to launch a "Bottle Source" capsule collection to focus on global pollution. The damage caused to our planet is dramatic: since 1950 the world has produced over eight billion tons of plastic, a number that is expected to rise to 34 billion tons by 2050. By 2015, only 9% of the world's plastics had been recycled. In order to change this situation, The North Face and National Geographic have created a series of black and white hoodies and t-shirts featuring the phrase "WASTE IS OVER" and made from disposable plastics recovered from plastic waste found in various public spaces and national parks in the United States, including Yosemite, Great Smoky Mountains and Grand Teton. 

Each eco-friendly piece is available on The North Face website from June 19, at a price ranging from $35 USD to $60 USD. For each "Bottle Source" product, the brand will donate $1 to the National Park Foundation as part of a contribution to support sustainability projects and programs.
