Crocs and Beams launch the Crocs fanny-pack The ultimate ugly shoes

Maybe it wasn't the item we dreamed of wearing, but now the Crocs fanny pack is a reality. It was created by Crocs in collaboration with the popular Japanese retailer Beams. The shoes have a pocket on the back perfect for storing keys, bills, coins, similar to Nike's fanny pack slides, and are available in two color combinations, sold for $53 (or 5,940 Japanese yen): Ultraviolet and Tropical Teal.

The capsule collection also includes the Classic Fringe Clog models featuring nappa details and orange beads; or Sun Visor Clog with miniature transparent visors; Clockband Platform Embossed Clogs with small gem-set stones.

Let's face it, the fashion world loves Crocs, the famous rubber clogs worn until only a few years ago only by nurses or by families who preferred comfort to style have become cool. So, taking advantage of the popularity of ugly sneakers and the style philosophy of many designers, according to whom it is now ironic to include an "out of tune" detail in their look, these shoes once considered anti-fashion are everywhere, also loved by Hollywood stars. If the first to show them on the catwalk were Christopher Kane and Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga, in recent months have been the capsules and partnerships to achieve the U.S. brand to reach a new audience and attention of the press. This was confirmed by Andrew Rees, CEO of Crocs, during a recent call with investors to discuss the company's profits:

“The pace and scope of our collaborations further speak to our increasing brand heat Results from our 2017 and 2018 annual brand surveys show dramatic increases in our brand desirability, relevance, and consideration. The pace and scope of our collaborations further speak to our increasing brand heat.”

Among the most interesting and successful collaborations we must certainly mention those with Alife, characterized by monuments such as decorations or socks incorporated, the skeleton version with Pleasures, the grassy style with Chinatown Market, the capsules with Post Malone sold out in just ten minutes. And how can we forget the Crocsbody, a hybrid between the famous rubber clogs and a fanny pack created by the alternative streetwear brand Pizzaslime?
