Studio 70: the Converse event for the Milano Design Week With an exclusive party hosted by Ilaria Bigg

There's a shoe that has always been synonymous with freedom of expression and creativity, reflecting the personality of the wearer, today as the day it was first created. This is the soul at the heart of Converse Chuck 70, a modern ode to the Chuck Taylor All-Star designed in the '70s, a unique silhouette that has inspired the special event that Converse has prepared on the occasion of the Milano Design Week.

From April 12 to 14, in fact, at Via San Vittore al Teatro 3, Converse will give life to Studio 70, a space designed to showcase the artistic vision and the creativity of five young talents, inspired by the subcultures, the styles and the aesthetic of the '70s. The space will see the exclusive launch of the Converse Chuck 70 Reconstructed, a new take on the classic silhouette created in partnership with the celebrated streetwear powerhouse Slam Jam. Studio 70 will host moreover an assortment of heritage Chuck 70 silhouettes in a pop-up store powered by Slam Jam with an exclusive selection of Chuck 70.

The main objective of Studio 70 is to showcase and display the talent and the artistic vision of five Italian creatives. One of the protagonists of the event will be our Ilaria Bigg, sneaker editor for nss magazine, who was chosen for her unique ability to interpret always in a fresh and innovative way the taste of the young generation, adding her personal touch to every look. For Saturday, April 13 Ilaria has prepared an exclusive party at Studio 70, with a special music selection curated by Youssef Giga and Vincenzo Paccone

At Converse's studio will also be present Frida Affer, founder of WOVO Store, a reference figure in the ongoing conversation about female sexuality and femininity in general; Pastafrolla squad, a crew of skater coming from Brescia, sitting at the intersection of the grassroots skate and streetwear communities; Efisio Marras & Blanca Mirò, breaking the rules of high fashion, walking the line between haute couture and streetwear; and finally Annie Mazzola, an advocate for LGBTQ's and women's rights.

The pop-up is open on Friday, April 12 from h 14 to 22, Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 from h 10.30 to 22. Stay tuned on nss magazine for all the updates.
