Moncler Genius drops new Hiroshi Fujiwara collection Mixing music and street culture with a luxury twist

After the monumental presentation of its evolution during Milan’s Fashion Week, Moncler continues its innovative Genius Project this season with the second drop of “The Next Chapter” with the third Moncler Genius collection from the legendary Hiroshi Fujiwara. Continuing his aesthetic of mixing music and street culture with a luxury twist, Fujiwara tweaks simple items in subtle new ways, taking the generic and elevating it to new forms of expression. Something seemingly familiar will always require a second look when put through the fingers of Fujiwara to find the new and progressive in his touch, finding innovative ways to deal with the normal.

This season Fujiwara hid relevant technical features such as extreme lightness and functional packability behind a series of blazers, parkas, shirts and assorted metropolitan basics. The selection of pieces revolves around the theme of the World Tour, drawing from both ideas of travel and music, fusing these different references in seamless ways. Plaid blazers, parkas, field jackets, varsity jackets, and travel jackets are stamped with Fujiwara’s trademark slogans and graphics, looking fresh and unexpected.

Tapered seams are featured predominantly, providing relevant technicality. The fabrics are light and meant to perform well for real-life situations that will naturally revolve around motion. Stripes, intarsia and a mix of neutrals, blacks, and brights create a vibrant urban look. Outfits are conceived as modular mixes of building blocks, with shorts adding a sense of ease and speed. Backpacks and shoppers, as well as sneakers and loafers, complete the globetrotting look for a clean, well designed, ensemble.

The Hiroshi Fujiwara 7 – MONCLER FRAGMENT collection is out now, available via the Moncler site and their flagships stores worldwide
