Marine Serre debuts in menswear With a capsule collection exclusively for SSENSE

For a while now, the eyes of the fashion experts have been focused on Marine Serre, the rising star of French fashion, who in just three years has attracted the attention with her creations capable of mixing vintage, sportswear, utilitarianism and high quality in a unique and convincing way.

After presenting several women's collections that led her to win the LVMH award for the most exciting young talents, the designer is ready to debut in menswear, with a capsule collection created for SSENSE. For the famous site, the designer creates a selection of 22 pieces with a 90s mood that includes a coat and a bomber jacket with floral motifs, rainbow-coloured jackets, t-shirts with graphic prints, jeans. The proposal fully reflects Serre's upcycled future wear style seen in women's collections: half-moons, technical fabrics, deconstructed jackets, one-piece stretch jersey tracksuits and a cool mix of sporty and casual.

Marine in a recent interview said she had simply started working on her iconic looks like the shirts printed with the crescent logo and the second skin garments, also trying to develop "a new suit for men". The most interesting clothes of the capsule are the fleece jacket with a bold floral print and, above all, the iridescent jogging suit made of moiré silk fabric, a material originally used in the eighteenth century for interior decoration and upholstery, curtains, then rediscovered by couture designers in the 1950s.

The entire Serre menswear collection is available at SSENSE at a price between $ 95 and $ 2,270.
