The hybrid fashion of Unravel Project for FW19 The latest collection of one of the Kardashian sisters' favorite brands

The Paris Fashion Week is not the absolute domain of the giants of the fashion world like Saint Laurent or Dior, in these days dedicated to the autumn-winter season 2019 there is also room for many emerging talents. One of these is Unravel Project. Born in 2015 from the creative mind of Ben Taverniti, the designer who cut his teeth working for Jeremy Scott, the brand has immediately conquered the label of next best thing thanks to the appreciation, among many, of the Kardashian clan that often showed off his pieces (all made in Milan). To attract their attention was the interesting street mood and the ability of Taverniti to propose a fashion without compromises. His motto is

"To create something, you must first destroy",

a philosophy that the project continues to follow in the latest collection just presented at PFW. The creative disassembles and rebuilds, hybrid shapes, materials and styles, giving life to cool Frankensteins that combine perfecto and denim jackets, trench and tartan, monochrome bomber jackets and camo down jackets, animal print dresses stopped at the waist by corsets in vinyl and worn over leggings from the eco sportswear.

There is something deliberately dystonic, wrong, in the aesthetic vision of Unravel Project, a sense of unfinished, a clash of souls in continuous becoming that, on the one hand, leaves perplexed and, on the other, conquers. Perhaps it is not a fashion for everyone, perhaps at times it winks too much to already famous brands such as Vetements, but we are sure that we will hear more about Ben Taverniti and his creations.
