London Fashion Week just came to an end and what we saw on the catwalks was a pretty natural and low-key make-up, for this season English designers have decided to focus more on the hairstyle. Especially the hair accessories stole the scene, first and foremost the headpins, real and undisputed trend of the season, in a thousand different variations. Make-up is minimal, the foundation is flawless, the focus is all for colourful and graphic eyeshadows or alternatively for dark and hypnotic lips.

We've gathered here the best beauty looks spotted during this London Fashion Week

Burberry

Riccardo Tisci returned to his more goth and dark roots for a look very similar to the one seen on the Givenchy runway back in 2015 when the Italian designer was at the helm of the French fashion house. Hairstylist Guido Palau drew inspiration from London's weather and climate for a look that had to reflect its weather conditions: several of his womenswear models had tiny strands gelled to the forehead shaped into place thanks to the gel, for a final wet-look.

Halpern

It was all about the eyes at Halpern. Make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench used a cotton bud to layer teeny tiny squares of gold leaf on to lids after painting them with eyeshadows in different colours, from duck egg blue to sunset orange. Goldeneye.

Ashley Williams

Between romantic bows and ultra-feminine ribbons, Ashley Williams takes on the catwalk one of the strongest street style trends of the season, hairpins. Williams' rhinestone hairpins stole the show. The new collection pins (which spell out the words "books," "nervous," and "void" in letters) are just a handful of fresh accessories to the collection, alongside heavily embellished hearts and butterflies.

House Of Holland

The show of House of Holland manages always to bring some colour on the London runway. For this season, skin is simple save for a touch of foundation, eyes are teal, smoky, eyeshadow is lent right up to the brows and down to the lower lash line, matching the manicures.

Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha explores female sensuality and erotism even through the hairstyle of the models. Tiaras with pink crystals, hairpins, real coronet in different colourways, the extra touch is the dark purple lipstick. For a romantic, almost goth aesthetic.

ASAI

Graphic super thin lines to wrap and highlight the eyes are the only beauty detail at the ASAI show. The look is monochromatic, ranging from white and black. Nail art was taken to the extreme with chalky, white paint-dipped fingers and gold leaf.
