adidas Originals reveal the ‘FUTURE ARSHAM 4D’ sneaker The new limited edition silhouette by Daniel Arsham

One of the developments we are most excited about from adidas is their new use of 3D printing technology, specifically when it comes to their sneakers and the 4D Futurecraft silhouettes. The printed sole simply looks like a piece of art in both form and function. We know there are more of the these coming from adidas but until now the 4D Future crafts drops have been extremely rare and limited, with the Daniel Arsham x Future Craft 4D being no exception.

Daniel Arsham who is a multidisciplinary designer drawing from architecture, design and everyday experience, adidas Originals now presents the third and final chapter of the collaborative project with ’Hourglass’, a short film exploring the artist’s fascination with identity and experience through the lens of cultural ephemera. Hourglass’ explores Arsham’s life and creative work; past, present and future. Together with the film the third sneaker in the collaborative series with adidas Originals, called THE FUTURE, which appears throughout the film’s final chapter, will be released. Made with a fully primeknit upper that reveals the word ‘FUTURE’ when exposed to UV light, the ‘FUTURE ARSHAM’ features adidas’ revolutionary new 4D tooling technology.

The sneaker comes packaged in a sealed box, accompanied by a pair of socks, gloves, and a bag. Its unique presentation are physical realizations of both adidas Originals and Daniel Arsham’s relentless commitment to innovation and creativity. The adidas Originals by Daniel Arsham ‘FUTURE 4D’ represents the cutting edge in sneaker design and will be available globally on 12th October. The word we’re getting from adidas is that the release will be incredibly limited with only 15 pairs coming to Europe and none, unfortunately, making its ways to Milan in this round, but the point of this sneaker is more that it actually exists, as it is showing us the future at adidas which we’re very excited about.
