The 5 worst items of London Fashion Week

The second leg of the fashion week is officially over. After London, it's time to move on to Italy, to get this Milan Fashion Week started. 

But, as usual, it's only fair to do a recap of what went down. This London Fashion Week could have been easily called Burberry Week, given all the anticipation for the Tisci show and the little significance of the English catwalks. Victoria Beckham celebrated her 10th anniversary with a SS19 collection made of classic daytime pieces. ALEXACHUNG made her debut, drawing attention more for this fact than for the collection itself. MM6 Maison Margiela was a bit unlucky, since it showed right after the Burberry show, that definitely overshadowed every single show of the day. For better or for worse the London Fashion Week is now over, and one of the funniest thing to do at the end of a FW is seeing how crazy designers' minds got. 

Here are the 5 worst items of LFW. 

 

#1 Burberry  

Simple isn't synonym of anonymous, and although Tisci is trying to preserve that typical Burberry English Style, these looks seem lifeless even worn by two models two metres high (let alone by human beings). Thumbs up for the bowling shirts and the new pattern but not for the two "basic dresses". 

 

#2 Gareth Pugh 

A bit Lady Gaga video, a bit Halloween, Gareth Pugh presented some extreme looks. An attempt to blend art with fashion? It might be the only explanation (still not valid). 

 

#3 Kiko Kostadinov

Focus on Kiko's hairstyle. Inspiration: Maleficent by Angelina Jolie. 

 

#4 Molly Goddard

Covent Garden fruit and vegetables market was transported onto the catlwalk of the young designer. Edie Campbell and Adwoa Aboah walked the show with quite debatable items. Just think of the lettuce-bag... 

 

#5 MM6 Maison Margiela
