New Calvin Klein 205W39NYC FW18/19 Campaign American heritage meets the otherworldly

Calvin Klein 205W39NYC has just released its latest campaign for the fall-winter 2018-2019 season. This season explores the natural American landscape through a superhuman lens, challenging the perception of the real and the imaginary. With the ever innovative Raf Simon now at its creative helm, it looks towards a new dawn on the horizon for the brand.

"The Fall 2018 collection is a metaphor for the meeting of ancient and new worlds, linked to the discovery of America, the rush to the space of the Sixties and the information age of the 21st century, reflecting the concept of democracy, 'is cultural hierarchy: a mix that frees clothes from their meaning, from their original function, from their narratives, to discover something different, a different dream" - Raf Simons, Chief Creative Officer, Calvin Klein.

In a series of images taken by previous Calvin Klein collaborator, Willy Vanderperre, warped perspectives play with size and perspective giving the campaign an outer-worldly feel. Shot in the isolated landscapes of Utah, in the United States, the location taps into the rich American heritage of Calvin Klein, evoking a feeling of nostalgia whilst again capturing the feeling of the otherworldly. A sense of calm and hope, which takes the ever-present theme of American youth, whilst looking towards the future through the touch of Raf Simons’s design.

The collection is set to release this fall season, stay locked to nss for all the updates.
