The London Men Fashion Week crosses the border between human and alien.

On Sunday, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall of the Southbank Center, Xander Zhou teleported the audience directly into his vision of the future, a colorful tomorrow full of extraterrestrial creatures like pregnant men that subvert the classic idea of gender and identity.

“I tried to create the collection as a movie, a story of my own and build each model as a character” - said the designer backstage, concluding his explanation as follows – “My style will be remembered well past the time when the sun begins to collapse and consumes Earth in about 4-5 billion years.”

The sartorial sportswear aesthetic, imbued with work clothes, which has long distinguished the brand, is enriched with futuristic fabrics, color palettes washed with acid and contaminated textures; but the details are inspired by the surgical prosthesis and the work of the make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench is really surprising.

The models on the catwalk wore knee pads and round leather planks, contact lenses of an unnatural blue, bright optical fiber over the eyebrows in fiber optics, prosthetic arms, neon yellow wigs, futuristic sunglasses (created with the Korean brand Gentle Monster), hospital gowns decorated with extraterrestrial prints, square shirts, high-tech layers, sweatpants, rugby shirts, tight pants, cyberpunk boots up to the thigh and Nike React Element 87 on the feet.
