The Pirelli calendar is an institution.

Over the years its pages were filled by the most beautiful women and men, in the world, immortalized by world-famous photographers.

Last year it took to Peter Lindbergh with realism the female face and body; before him there was Annie Leibovitz who portrayed people like Patti Smith, Serena Williams and Amy Schumer; but the names behind the camera are many by Herbert Karl Lagerfeld Ritts, Helmut Newton, Mario Testino.

For 2018 Pirelli choose Tim Walker, English photographer famous for his dreamy and fairy-tale style, who chose to recreate Alice in Wonderland with a cast all black - as happened in 1987 by Terence Donovan also featured a Naomi just sixteen.

"Alice is a book that has always been obsessed with me" - Walker explained - "I'm fascinated by Lewis Carroll's Alice, but the most interesting thing is that his imagination and his legacy are still relevant since 1.865. The eternal mystery of being a great storytelling master. And my inspiration comes from the original illustrations created by John Tenniel, not from the cinematic representations, as by Art of Arthur Rackham, who played the fairy tale in dark tones".

So a set in London's Big Sky Studios, decorated by the simple but evocative set designed by Shona Heath, has hosted 17 models and models, actresses and actors dressed by Edward Enninful, new director of the British edition of Vogue here stylist, like the characters of Carroll's fable.

Naomi Campbell has become the cutting heads, the actor and drag queen RuPaul the Queen of Hearts, the Oscar Lupita Nyong'o award is the dormouse, Whoopi Goldberg is the Duchess, while in the role of Alice's Australian source model Sudanese Duckie Thot.

The other protagonists? Sean Diddy Combs, Adut Akech, Adwoa Aboah, Alpha Dia, Djimon Hounsou, King Owusu, Lil Yachty, Sasha Lane, Slick Woods, Wilson Oryema, Zoe Bedeaux and Thando Hopa.
