The best collaborations art + fashion In a new book by E.P. Cutler & Julien Tomasello

In the latest years the collaborations between the fashion world and the art one are constantly growing. More and more fashion designers avail themselves of talented creative minds to communicate graphically the message behind their collections, with extremely brilliant results (see Unskilled Worker for Gucci or Olimpia Zagnoli for Fendi).

A new book – Art + Fashion: Collaborations and Connections Between Icons – curated by fashion historians E. P. Cutler and Julien Tomasello, retraces the best collaborations from the beginning of the 20th century to today. From Elsa Schiaparelli’s dress designed by Salvador Dalì in 1935 to the recent project realized by Tim Walker along with Tim Burton for British Vogue, the volume involves names such as Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander MCQueen, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst and Rei Kawakubo.
