Louis Vuitton's first restaurant Opened in Japan and called Sugalabo V

Louis Vuitton chose Osaka, Japan, to debut in the world of cuisine with a dual project involving the famous Japanese chef Yosuke Suga, a student of the legendary Joël Robuchon. The French brand has opened a rooftop bar on the fourth floor of its Osaka store named Le Cafè V and a restaurant named Sugalabo V, an extension of chef Suga's restaurant in Tokyo and open for dinner only and accessible through secret speakeasy-style doors.

The two designers who gave the rooms their distinctive look are the architect Jun Aoki, former creator of two of Louis Vuitton's Japanese boutiques, and interior designer Tokujin Yoshioka, already in charge of the brand's furniture line as well as travel accessories. The first was involved in creating the interior spaces and was inspired by a nautical concept with a series of decorations reminiscent of sails in the wind; the second instead signed the futuristic furnishings of both environments.
