Milano celebrates Frida Kahlo's art With an exhibition set up at MUDEC

The secrets, very often, can be the most interesting part of a person. They can take him to make certain choices, to do certain things, to be in one way rather than another.

And this is what happened to the famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. What she hid, her desires, her suffering, her feelings, have often intrigued so much the audience to obscure her art works, spectacular, unique, but what they did not communicate, teased more than what was instead clear.

The MUDEC of Milan wants to do that, leave room for the art of Frida Kahlo, to pay homage, and to celebrate it as it deserves in its entirety and purity, in its ability to speak and scream through painting, photography, or even through a simple draft improvised on the edge of a wrinkled sheet. There will be a total of 100 works, with unpublished sources and documents unveiled in 2007 from the archive found in the famous Casa Azul (Frida's home, Mexico City). The exhibition will be set up - from February 1 to June 3, 2018 - following a thematic fil rouge that will lead to a division of the exhibition in 5 sections: Politics, Nature, Death, Violence and, of course, Women.

A journey not aimed at the discovery of Frida Kahlo but at the analysis of her talent, of what made her unique, and eternal.
