Sunday Escape - Garden House by Connatural

A conception of domestic life where the limit between culture and nature is dissolved

Sunday Escape - Garden House by Connatural A conception of domestic life where the limit between culture and nature is dissolved

Dissolving the limit between culture and nature. This is the idea of architecture at the base of Garden House, a project by the Connatural studio located in Medellin, Columbia.

It is a 550 square meter property completed in 2017 in which everything from exterior design to the division of internal spaces, is designed to develop a dynamic relationship between landscape, architecture, and urbanism.

The house follows the natural elevation of the territory, creating a multilayer and asymmetrical structure that embraces the mountainous terrain of the Antioquia Province and leaves the flora of the place the protagonist.
Both the lush vegetation that surrounds the simple concrete walls of the building, both the one that invades the inside. Here, in fact, all the rooms, the common ones, but also the study and the bedrooms, revolve around the patio- garden full of plants and big rocks.

Lightweight natural wood panels, a pond hosting the entire aquatic flora, and a beautiful rectangular pool for residents extending from the open plan to the outside of the building make Garden House even more special.
