‘‘Buy less, choose well, make it last” o “Remade Reduce Recycle Raeburn” sono gli slogan urlati alla fashion week londinese.

Da Vivienne Westwood a Christopher Raeburn i designers invitano ad arginare il consumismo con acquisti intelligenti ed ecosostenibili. È questo uno dei temi che hanno caratterizzato gli ultimi giorni: prendersi cura di ciò che si ha e trasformarlo in qualcosa di unico e prezioso.

Ognuno declina questa idea a proprio modo. Per molti, come A-COLD-WALL* o Xander Zhou, significa rielaborare le divise che indossiamo ogni giorno al lavoro; altri come Topman Design o Edward Crutchley scelgono di trasportare al presente mode del passato e poco importa che sia quella ‘80s dei new romantics o del Giappone del periodo Edo.

Cottweiler e Martine Rose esplorano lo sport, che diventa estremo, quasi un veicolo per sfidare sé stessi e diventare immortali; mentre Kiko Kostadinov e Matthew Miller si preoccupano dell’oscurità che avanza avvolgendo la società contemporanea.
