Virgil Abloh ha annunciato la sua prima, personale retrospettiva.
Ebbene sì, il direttore creativo di OFF-WHITE, nome affermato dello streetwear e che da tempo ha confermato essere un designer eclettico, sarà il protagonista di un'esposizione al Museum of Contemporary Art di Chicago.
Non è stata ancora fissata una data, ma la mostra si terrà nel 2019 e, oltre ai lavori del fashion designer, esplorerà la relazione tra il suo brand e la nuova generazione di oggi.
“There is a lot of thought behind how I got here, and the museum recognised that there’s something deeper behind how I came to be. If you focus on the brand, that’s interesting, but we intend to look at the 950 projects I have done, to then reflect on what it says about the millennial culture”,
ha spiegato Virgil Abloh in un'intervista.
