Dries Mertens goes meme

Yesterday night during Lazio vs Napoli game, Dries Mertens scored one of those goals that will become hard to forget. Launched by Jorginho in the space, the small Belgian striker sprinted to reach the ball that was touched and pull off the box by Lazio's goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. So, the Neapolitan Follet did not spend too much time thinking about it and blindly kicked the ball designing a perfect rainbow that ended in the net.

Fantastic goal, awesome, but then there was that celebration. Mertens simulated to drink something, but in a very strange and awkward way, so the internet gave its own interpretation of it this morning.

The Merten's goal was almost a perfect citation of Diego Armando Maradona. The Diez scored one of his most known goals against Lazio in 1984 with a very similar lob to the goalkeeper.
