The return of the Puma King Torero

35 years later, the legendary boots worn by Maradona will be produced again

The return of the Puma King Torero 35 years later, the legendary boots worn by Maradona will be produced again

Diego Maradona built his legacy especially during the World Cups he has played. The ’86 one, the one with the Mano de Dios and the Goal of the Millennium, or the ’90 one, with the Roman sabotage, or again in ’94, the year that put the ‘stop’ word to his career. Diego Armando Maradona has been, in fact, the history of the World Cup. But Maradona’s first tournament was the one played in 1982 – won by Italy – with an Argentinian team not so unbeatable, but most of all dressing the Puma King Torero. Remembered in history as the first Puma ever worn by Maradona in a World Cup, the Torero were known for the eccentric alternation between gold and black leather.

Today, 35 years later, Puma release that model once again, almost in the exact same shape, with the only exception of the technological innovation represented by the Duo Flex in the sole. A very beloved return for D10s’ fans, that will be for sale soon at €210.
