Braziliani’s Karma

Italy waited for Gabigol, who's now ready to take what it belongs to him

Braziliani’s Karma Italy waited for Gabigol, who's now ready to take what it belongs to him

If there’s something I’ve learned from football, that’s waiting. To be capable of waiting is a gift. To be capable of waiting to make yourself better, it’s the fine line between failure and building an empire. There are so many examples, from Henry at Juventus, never waited and then exploded with Arsenal, to Davids at Milan and Roberto Carlos at Inter. People who become who they’ve become because someone was capable of waiting.

It’s been a long time since we had a true Brazilian talent. Yes, ok, Neymar. Yes, ok, Coutinho, another unexpected talent. But someone who could play good in Serie A? It’s been missing for a while and that’s the reflection of Brazil’s conditions, especially on a sports level. It lacks that sense of Braziliani’s Karma that we had in the 80’s and 90’s. That Brazilian talent that everyone could see, regardless. We saw talent even where there wasn’t any.

And we all were here. We all that love football, love young talents, just us, that love the technical play and not just the shirt wore by that talent. We’ve been all waiting for Gabriel Barbosa, Gabigol for all Brazilians, to turn into drugs for the eyes and finally entered in Serie A’s history with his first goal.

He came as the new Ronaldo, presented as the new wonderkid of Brazilian football, and then he almost never played. It took Pioli to see his plays, in a very unconventional way. But here we know something about talented Brazilians: from Socrates to Zico, and then Ronaldo, Emerson, Aldair, Cafù, Kakà, Adriano, Ronaldinho, Pato. We can feel free to say that Brazilian football has always been part of Italy. The talent of football land curbed in Italian tactic.

To be or to have to be, that’s not the hamlet doubt, but the doubt to be capable of waiting. The wait. The fine line between failure and building an empire. And, in this case, we already know that that empire will be ruled by Gabriel Barbosa or, as we all are going to call him, Gabigol.

The Braziliani’s Karma is back.
