Kanye West's The Life of Pablo goes platinum TLOP enters history as the first “streaming-only” album ever who reaches this achievement

Whether you like it or not, Kanye West just made music history thanks to his last work The Life of Pablo, which has become the first "streaming-only" album ever to have ever achieved the platinum certification. TLOP had already reached a historic high point by becoming the first album online available only to reach the top of USA album chart in February 2016.

The album, that originally was supposed to be a TIDAL exclusive – shortly after released on Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play Music – debuted in the Billboard 200 hot albums in April 2016 and, in a year, it has been streamed 3 billion times all over the world.

It's the seventh Kanye West's solo album, who considered TLOP like a constantly evolving artwork and, in fact, over time the album had some changes and new tracks like Frank's Track and Saint Pablo were added without the several collaborations with some of the most influential artists of the moment like Rihanna, Chance The Rapper, Kid Kudi, Young Thug, Chris Brown, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar, and also includes a sample of the Designer's song Panda, then became a big hit.
