The polaroids that feature Madonna before becoming "Madonna"

Richard Corman launched Madonna 66 The polaroids that feature Madonna before becoming Madonna

66 posted polaroids. 66 founded polaroids after 33 years. Those are the polaroids that feature Madonna at the dawn of his career before he became a worldwide icon. Maybe, she was an icon since her birth. But to understand this story, we have to go back, in June of 1983. In that year Cis, the mother of the director Richard Corman, asked his son to drop everything and to work for an important personal project.

In fact, she was writing a treatment that had as a goal to revisit Cinderella’s story, and was called "Cinde Rella". Richard Corman, for that project, had to shot a young girl, Madonna, who would play the protagonist of the story. So they snapped together 66 polaroids. In that time Madonna was about to debut with her first album “Madonna”, that came out later on July 27, 1983. She was shot in five different situations into the apartment of Richard's brother. 66 polaroid feature Madonna for her physical beauty, for his style, for his irreverence and his sensual playfulness.
Unfortunately, Cis’s project, wasn’t made and the polaroids taken by his son were placed in some hidden corner into a cellar. Over the years, Corman family, in fact, was convinced of losing them. But during a recent move, the photographer found the polaroids that he had taken many years before, and seeing the photos again decided to combine all of them in a photography book entitled, "Madonna 66". Intimate and introspective images, full of hope to emerge that can be an inspiration for all young people that have a dream.
